Headless Heroes Of The Apocalypse is an epic album by American soul artist Eugene McDaniels. It’s a vinyl classic with an eclectic mix of funk, soul and folk. The jazz band which is backing McDaniel adds the swing to all the incredible arrangements. “Supermarket Blues” is a song in which he focuses on the racial acts, while “The Parasite (for Buffy)” is a ten-minute tribute to the Native Americans. The album has been prized and sampled by the hip-hop community dozens of times. It’s dark and political psychedelic soul album with excellent grooves, a masterpiece which is now available again on vinyl.
